Promotional Design

A promotional vinyl record package to promote Andrew Bird’s “Echolocations” series. The case holds two vinyl records with music inspired by The Los Angeles River, and the Coyote Gultch Canyon in Utah. The inside covers reveal two kaleidoscopic wheels that can be turned to reveal track listings. Each image on these kaleidoscopes is taken directly from images of the river and canyon that inspired the music. This design is meant to reference the all-encompassing and ethereal sound of the music.
