Little Women: Own Your Story
WINNER of the Talenthouse fan art contest: "Create artwork that captures the beloved story of Little Women"

Bishop_Amy_LW_Poster_small.jpg

This poster was created to embody the spirit of Greta Gerwig's 2019 film adaptation of Little Women. It depicts the four March sisters ascending a snowy hill to their house. The snow, however, is actually a pile of papers with the beginning of Louisa May Alcott's novel written on them. By mounting the hill, the sisters are taking charge over their own story. This alludes to the personal ambitions of each sister which is especially highlighted in this film. The silhouette of the house is inspired by Alcott's actual home, Orchard House. The snow, pine trees, and warm glow in the windows give the poster a wintry feel, as the film was released on Christmas day. The foreground appears to pop out of a frame, which is inspired by the existing style of Little Women promotional materials.
